About LiveTrad.com

LiveTrad.com is a website dedicated to the live web streaming
of traditional Irish music sessions, concerts and festival events online.
Launched in March 2010, we have webcast live from venues all over Ireland, from niche festivals,
major events, and typical pub sessions, in other words we cover the entire spectrum
of traditional Irish music performances.
Broadcasts can be streamed in full HD resolution, using advanced cloud streaming technologies.
In addition, we relay pre-recorded webcasts where a live transmission is unsuitable.
Live interaction occurs through instant messaging with thousands of online viewers worldwide.
These requests and greetings are read out on air, and this helps bring viewers a little closer
to the pub or session where the webcast is taking place.
To date, we've broadcast to over 50 countries, and both live and deferred webcasts
are regularly viewed by thousands of traditional music enthusiasts online.
Once webcasts have gone to air, extensive clips from the broadcast are stored in the Videos section
of the website, available for instant playback.
Audio Podcasts of individual webcasts are also available to download in full.
We are delighted to work in partnership with agencies like the Irish Arts Council who provide us with important funding for 'The Last Friday Web Sessions', which take place at the end of each month.
The tourism agency Discover Ireland have also contracted LiveTrad.com to raise the online profile of traditional Irish music in pubs and at festivals.
We also work with a number of corporate partners and advertisers whose financial backing enables us to bring you regular webcasts.
The support of all of these parties is central to the growth and development of LiveTrad.com.
LiveTrad.com have had webcasts from some of the top traditional Irish music pubs,
like the world renowned Matt Molloy's in Westport, Shoot The Crows in Sligo,
and Anderson's Thatched Bar in Carrick-on-Shannon, to name but a few.
In addition, we've webcast live from some of the most highly regarded festivals
and event venues in Ireland, including Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Temple Bar TradFest,
and the Frankie Kennedy Winter School.
Right now, we are compiling our venues list for 2012.
