Trips to Ireland to be won ahead of major music webcast
A major live webcast is being planned for November 20th next, starting at 8pm GMT, when some of the best known traditional Irish musicians will take to the stage at The Dock in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim.
Ahead of this webcast, we’ve got some amazing prizes to award to some lucky LiveTrad friends!
First up, there’s the opportunity of winning a stay for two people in wonderful Lough Rynn Castle. The prize includes flights and carhire for the duration of your stay, plus a tour along the River Shannon, which runs through the heart of Co. Leitrim. In addition, you’ll dine in some of Leitrim’s finest restaurants.
Click on this link now to enter, you’d never know, you could be living like a lord (or a lady) sooner than you think!
We’re also running a ‘Love Leitrim‘ photo competition, with 2 flights to be won from any of the main UK/European airports with direct access into Ireland West Airport in Knock.
All we want you to do is to upload your favourite photo of Co. Leitrim to our Facebook Competition, so if you’ve been here before, then you’ve got a chance to upload your holiday snaps. You’ve only got until midnight on Monday November 5th 2012 to get your entries in, however, before the winning photo will be selected by public vote, so get cracking!
The winners of both competitions will be announced live on air during the IrelandWestTrad.com webcast on November 20th at 8pm GMT.
Which brings us to the music. The webcast itself will be full of the very best in traditional Irish music, including both legendary figures over recent decades, as well as rising stars.
Donal Lunny, Séamus Begley and John Carty are household names in the world of trad music, and they’ll be joined on stage by a host of other musicians involved in the third series of ‘The Leitrim Equation’, an innovative music project which is unique to Co. Leitrim.
The webcast is being planned jointly by Ireland West Airport, Leitrim County Council, Leitrim Tourism and LiveTrad.com with a view to opening up this region of Ireland to tourists interested in coming here in the future, as well as engaging further with those who regularly holiday here.
The concert, which will stream to www.IrelandWestTrad.com only (using facilities provided by LiveTrad.com) will also provide a window for viewers to get first hand knowledge and experience of everything Co. Leitrim and the region in general has to offer in terms of culture, activities and places to visit and stay.
So do join us on November 20th next from 8pm GMT for a LiveTrad session with a twist, only on www.IrelandWestTrad.com!
